This film was directed by Anira Wojan and her husband Paweł Szanajca, nephew of Eustachy Kossakowski.
The idea of the film was born during their visit to Eustachy in Paris in 1998, and straight away the shooting began. The aim was to present the photographic work, but also to show the photographer in his daily life and activity. In catching his reflexions and opinions, the authors of the film managed to capture in a lively and intimate way his relationship with photography: in a first stage, Eustachy is shown operating in his Paris workshop presenting his pictures and celebrating; then we trace him again in Poland attempting to photograph the landscape, architecture and dwellers of the Polish countryside.
